Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open -90 points this morning at 6003.   The global sell off continued last night, halting the recovery rally firmly that we had seen for the last few weeks. After the FED's dour outlook triggered the fall, oil prices extended losses last night due to worries on weak global demand, and on new concerns of a resurgence of coronavirus infections. Investors fear this could stunt the speed of recovery in economies around the world which have only just started opening slowly after lockdown, leading many to believe the anti-virus restrictions were lifted too early. The threat of fresh restrictions could also be on the horizon. WTI Oil slipped 1.49% to $35.80, whilst Brent fell 1.19% to %38.09.

Company News:

Carnival announce that their Holland America Line has cancelled more cruises to destinations including Panama Canal, Hawaii, Pacific Costal and South America.

Games Workshop reports FY 2020 sales of £270m and profit before tax of £85m.

Hammerson will reopen three main centres in Ireland on June 15th as local government eases coronavirus-led restrictions.

Royal Dutch Shell has launched the sale of its stakes in two oilfields and pipelines in Norway.
