Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open -20 points points at 5745.  Stocks in Asia overnight pulled back retreated, as have U.S. and European futures in early trading, perhaps indicating the risk-off move that’s hit markets at the start of this month may have further to run.  S&P 500 futures declined as much as 1.8% at one point after global stocks posted a more than 2% slide on Friday. Oil has snapped a three-day gain as optimism over a nascent recovery in demand was replaced by worries about the supply glut, while the continued exodus of exchange-traded funds also weighed on sentiment. Futures in New York fell 3% to around $19 a barrel after their first weekly gain in a month that was driven by early signs of improving consumption.

Company News:

BAE Systems announce they have completed the acquisition of Raytheon Technologies Corporation's Airborne Tactical Radios business for £218m.

IG Group announce the appointment of Charlie Rozes as CFO of the company.

Inchcape announce Duncan Tait has been appointed group CEO with effect from the 1st of June 2020.

Tate & Lyle trading update for FY results states that the group performed well during the period with each trading division exceeding prior year's performance, so they expect to announce results slightly ahead of guidance for the coming year.
