Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +150 points points at 5777.   This rally comes on the back of news that some COVID-19 patients have responded positively to Gilead's "Redesivir" drug.  Donald Trump unveiled a three stage process for states to end the corona virus shut down.  News of a planned exit of shut down in the U.S offset a record slump in Chinese GDP and saw a positive session in Asia, the Nikkei rose by 607 points to close the day at 19,897.  It was a similar story in Hong Kong as the Hang Seng gained 416 points to close the session 1.75% higher at 24,427, whilst despite recording the worst GDP figures on record, the CSI 300 index in China rose by 1% to close 35 points higher at 3,838.  This news also spured on oil prices as Brent crude oil rose back above $26 per barrel.
