Markets Overview:

UK 100 called to open +64 points points at 5743.  This comes after we saw a boost during trading in the US on hopes that the death tolls had plateaued in the U.S and that it was expected that the number of deaths would soon peak.  This paired with supportive Fed minutes and Bernie Sanders withdrawing from the presidential race saw early modest gains just continue to rise.  Russia said overnight that it was willing to cut output of oil, in an attempt to stabilise the price, this saw oil trade back over $30 per barrel.  It was a mixed session in Asia, the Nikkei followed yesterdays huge pains with a more modest session, closing out the day almost flat, giving up just 7 points, to trade at 19,345.  In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng traded 180 points higher at 24,152, whilst in China it was a more modest gain of 12 points to close at 3,792.
