BP PLC (BP.L) - Saw net profit for Q1 at $2.59bn beating forecasts of $2.12bn by 22%. Earnings were also 10% higher than the average estimate of $4.23bn coming in at $4.68bn. Just-Eat Group Holdings Ltd (JE.L) – Reported revenue in Q1 of £177.4m which was 49% higher, seeing UK order book climb by £29.4m which is 24% higher. It also reaffirmed its full year 29017 guidance. Closing price 772.80p (Bloomberg)
National Grid PLC (NG.L) – Has agreed to sell its remaining 25% equity stake in Cadent to Quadgas Investments Bidco, expects cash proceeds of the sale are expected to be £1.2bn which is scheduled to complete between March 1st – October 31st 2018 and to be reinvested within the business. Virgin Money Holdings UK PLC (VM.L) - Reported strong credit performance and better-than-expected deposit growth from savers however gross mortgage lending was down 30% Q-o-Q to £1.4bn for Q1 from £2bn previously which was expected. Closing price 279.90p (Reuters)
