Anglo American (AAL.L), BHP Billiton (BLT.L), Glencore (GLEN.L), KAZ Minerals (KAZ.L), Rio-Tinto (RIO.L), Vedanta Resources PLC (VED.L) - Asian shares turned lower on Tuesday, as early gains were quashed by tensions after North Korea fired a missile that landed in Japanese waters, deepening concerns over the isolated nation's nuclear capabilities. BT Group Plc (BT.A), Sky PLC (SKY.L), Vodafone PLC (VOD.L), TalkTalk Telecom Group PLC (Talk.L)  - BT was accused of dragging its feet for years as competitors using its network demanded they run more fibre-optic lines to homes and businesses. The wholesale division has seen the benefits of installing the faster connections, after regulatory approval in march which opens the doors for more collaboration with rivals such as Sky , Vodafone and TalkTalk. Sainsbury PLC (SBRY.L) – Due to structural changes to how it reports, it no longer splits out Argos and Sainsbury’s sales. Q1 group like for like retail sales ex-fuel were up 2.3%, a better than expected print against expectations of 1.9% with total sales up 2.7% and clothing up 7.2%. Closing price 248.90p (Bloomberg)

Sports Direct International PLC (SPD.L) - Mike Ashley is fighting a former executive over the promise of a £15m bonus he has allegedly reneged on, which the tycoon’s attorney dismisses as part of the 'regular banter' at the boozy business meetings he would hold in pubs. In 2013, Ashley allegedly promised the payment if the executive doubled the retailer’s share price. Closing price 290.30p (Bloomberg)
