Whitbread Plc (WTB.L) - Says Q1 like for like total sales up 2.9%, sales growth for Q1 of 7.6%, in line with expectations, with Costa coffee and Premier Inn sales increasing the most across the group - up 8.7% and 9.2% - showing healthy Costa growth in China. Closing price 3853.00p (Reuters)
BP PLC (BP.L), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSb.L), Cairn Energy (CNE.L), Premier Oil (PMO.L), Tullow Oil (TLW.L) - U.S. crude fell more than 2% yesterday to the lowest level since September, a 7 month low. The API said U.S. crude stockpiles had dropped more than forecast. U.S. crude stocks fell last week, while gasoline and distillate inventories rising.
