Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) – The bank which has not made an annual profit since 2007, booked £6.96bn of losses for 2016, against a £1.98bn loss y-o-y. Revenue £12.4bn vs £12.08bn expected, targeting £2bn of cost cuts over four years.  It anticipates profitability in 2018. Hopes to settle RMBS probe this year.  Closing Price 249.40p (Reuters/Bloomberg)

Anglo American (AAL.L), BHP Billiton (BLT.L), Glencore (GLEN.L), Rio-Tinto (RIO.L) - London copper prices found modest support after a big fall overnight amid fresh doubts over Chinese demand and some upward movement in the U.S. dollar, but were still on track for a weekly decline of around 2%. Closing price 1269.50p, 1347.50p, 331.35p, 3418.00p (Reuters)

International Consolidated Airlines (IAG.L) – Said operating profit before exceptional items for 2016 was €2.5bn, up 8.6% and roughly in line with expectations. Said it intended to carry out a share buyback of 500 million euros during the course of 2017. Closing Price 504.50p (Reuters)

Pearson (PSON.L) – Posted a 2016 statutory loss of £2.3bn after writing down the value of the business. Reported 2016 adjusted operating profit of £635m, down 21% on the year but slightly better than expected. Net debt increased to £1.1bn, from £654m the year before. Closing Price 646p (Reuters)

Standard Life (SL.L) – Reported full year operating profit after tax up 9% to £583m vs £538m according to statement with a 16% increase in group assets under administration and a better than expected dividend announced of 13.35pp share vs 13.26p. Closing price 375.10p (Bloomberg)

William Hill (WMH.L) – Stated its full year net revenue missed forecasts and came in at the lower end of the expected range, £1.60bn generated against and estimated £1.64bn with the range of £1.61bn - £1.66bn. Closing price 261.90p (Bloomberg)
