Associated British Foods (ABF.L) – Total sales at Primark climbed 11% in the 16 week Christmas period as it stuck to a forecast to make progress in group annual operating profit. In the UK, it reported “good” underlying sales and said stock was well-managed in the period. Outlook for the year was unchanged. Closing Price 2698p (Reuters)

AstraZeneca (AZN.L), GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L), Shire (SHP.L) – Donald Trump attacks Pharmaceutical industry stating “They are getting away with murder” leading to $24bn wiped from American companies within minutes. Closing Price 4577p, 1581.50p, 4681.50p (CNBC)

ASOS (ASC.L) – International sales increased by 52% to £362m ($742m) in the four months to the end of December, with sales in its home market up by 18% to £244m. Closing Price 5389p (Reuters)

Barratt Developments (BDEV.L) – H1 Total completions fall 6% to 7180, average selling price to £264,000. Forward sales including joint ventures up 15.8% to £2.34bn, on track to deliver on volume guidance for the full year. Closing Price 501p (Reuters)

Marks and Spencer (MKS.L) – Clothing & Home like-for-like sales rose 2.3% in the 13 Weeks to 31 Dec, beating a market forecast of a rise of 0.2%, while food was up 0.6%, also ahead of forecasts. Closing Price 340.40p (Reuters)

Premier Oil (PMO.L) – Said full-year revenue slipped 10% year-on-year in preliminary results, despite production levels hitting an improved target. Closing Price 91.50p Reuters

Tesco (TSCO.L) – On track to deliver £1.2bn adjusted operating profit for the year. Third quarter like for like sales growth up 1.5%. Like for like sales for the six weeks ending 7th Jan up 0.3%. Closing Price 208.80p (Reuters)
