Ashtead (AHT.L) – Reported its FY results ahead of forecasts, Q2 rental revenue £783.8m. Raises its interim dividend to 4.75pp share up 19%. Closing price 1540.00p (Bloomberg)

Northgate (NTG.L) – Sees FY results in line with expectations, underlying profit before tax fall 7% to £40.4m against £45.9m last year. Closing price 435.00p (Reuters)

Thomas Cook Group (TCG.L) – Said it would pay £55.8m to take full control of a jointly owned network of 764 travel shops in Britain which it had run with partner The Co-operative Group. Closing price 85.95p (Reuters)

Wolseley PLC (WOS.L) – Sees its quarter profit rise with revenue up 5.2% ahead of the previous year and in line with expectations. Profit registered was £303m, 1.4% higher y-o-y. Four acquisitions completed in the quarter for total consideration of £216m. Closing price 4686.00p (Reuters)
