Imports fell 12.5% from a year earlier, the biggest decline since February and suggesting China's domestic demand may be faltering despite a flurry of measures to stimulate economic growth. Sainsburys (SBRY.L) Tesco (TSCO.L)  Morrisons (MRW.L) Marks & Spencer (MKS.L) - British consumer spending picked up last month, a survey from card company Visa UK stated that bucked other signs, Britons have become more cautious since June Seasonally-adjusted spending increased by 1.1%, the strongest month-on-month gain since January, reversing a 0.5% decline in June. InterContinental Hotels Group Plc (IHG.L) - Anbang Insurance Group Co is not considering an offer for InterContinental Hotels Group Plc, Chris Winans, a representative for the Chinese company, said on Sunday, rejecting a media report that a takeover bid was in the works. Closing Prices 3174.00p (Reuters)
