Fresnillo Plc (FRES) – Stated H1 core profit rises nearly 50%, helped by a jump in prices and higher production, with earnings rising rose to $474m for the six months to June 30 from $317.9m y-o-y. Closing price 1923.00p (Reuters/Bloomberg)

Direct Line Insurance Group (DLG) - Reported a 3.6% Fall in H1 operating profit from ongoing operations, hurt by lower investment gains. Operating profit from ongoing operations fell to £323.6m for the six months ended June 30, from £335.8m y-io-y. Special Dividend of 10pp share to be paid. Closing price 355.10p (Reuters)

Meggitt (MGGT)  - Maintained annual guidance for low single-digit rise in organic revenue this year, posting a 2% rise in underlying profit of £163.3m with strong order intake due to boost growth in H2 of the year, also raising it’s dividend by 4.3% with strong outlook for the group. Closing price 433.60p (Reuters)

Bp. (BP), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSb), Tullow Oil (TLW), Cairn Energy (CNE), Premier Oil (PMO) - Oil prices edged up on Tuesday after U.S. crude broke below $40 per barrel for the first time since April, but traders said fuel markets continued to be dogged by excess production and oil market data implied bearish sentiment and conditions. Closing prices 418.35p, 1951.00p, 186.10p, 175.30p, 59.00p(Reuters)

Travis Perkins Plc (TPK) - Posted a H1 revenue increase of 5.8% with like-for-like sales up 3.1%, however two-year July sales down on Q2, stating the result of EU referendum has created significant uncertainty in outlook, interim dividend up 3.5%. Closing price 1544.00p (Reuters)

Greggs Plc (GRG) – See’s its H1 sales rise 6% to £422m, with pre-tax profit coming in at £25.4m, expecting to deliver on full year growth in line with previous expectations. Closing price 1052.00p (Reuters)
