Rolls-Royce Holdings (RR.L) - Said its Chief Executive John Rishton would retire in July, to be succeeded by Warren East, the former leader of Britain's biggest listed technology company ARM . Closing price 1007.00p (Reuters)

Tesco (TSCO.L) – Posted its worst annual loss in its 96 year history, after writing down store values by £4.7bn. Hurt by the accounting scandal and price war with supermarkets, it made a statutory pretax loss of £6.38bn, with a net debt if £8.5bn and pension deficit of £3.9bn. Closing Price 234.75p (Reuters)

BHP Billiton (BLT.L) - The miner said on Wednesday it would delay an expansion of its iron ore output to 290m tonnes a year, becoming the first big miner to slow a planned production increase amid a plunge in prices. Closing price 1463p. (Reuters)

Travis Perkins (TPK.L) - The company reported that its sales grew 7.2 % and said its overall trading was in line with expectations. Closing price 2019p. (Reuters)

Hammerson (HMSO) - The company signed a £415m revolving credit facility, with a maturity of five years that may be extended to a maximum period of seven years. Closing price 679p. (Reuters)
