Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L) - Announces third-quarter profit of £1.27bn vs a loss of £634 in 2013 - the first Q3 profit in 3 years. RBS says it is on track to reduce costs by £1bn, sets aside $639 to settle forex probes. Closing Price 365.30p (FT)

International Airlines Group (IAG.L) - Reported a 30% jump in third-quarter profit and upgraded its forecast for the year.Q3 profit came in at €900m, compared to the €690m in 2013, and beating analyst expectations of €879m. Now expected to improve this year's operating profit by between €550m to €600m on the €770m it made last year, upping previous guidance for an increase of at least €500m.
