Tesco (TSCO.L) - Like-for-like sales fell 4.4% in the first half of the year and pre-tax profit slumped to £112m, down more than 90% on the same period in the previous year. Second-quarter underlying domestic sales fell sharply, down 5.5%. The investigation launched by Deloitte has found that its profits in the first half of the year were overstated by £263m - More than the £250m which it initially estimated. Anglo American (AAL.L) - Posted a strong increase in third quarter iron ore production and increased its iron output target for the year. Its copper production fell, hit by declining grades at its Chilean mines. Closing price 1356.5p. (Reuters)

Lloyds (LLOY.L) – Will next week announce plans to cut 9,000 jobs over the next three years, sources familiar with the matter have stated. Closing Price 75.83p (Reuters)

Inchcape (INCH.L) – Reported an 11% rise in third quarter sales at constant currency thanks to strong demand for both used and new cars. Closing Price 634.50p (Reuters).

Foxtons (FOXT.L) - Warns sales slowdown will hit earnings. Performance in Q3 was negatively impacted by a sharp and recent slowing of volumes in London property sales markets. Q3 revenue £39.9m versus £41.1m a year ago. Expects full year 2014 adjusted earnings to be below prior year figure of £49.6m. Closing Price 205.30p (Reuters)
