Barclays (BARC.L) – Underlying profits fell 7% in the first six months of this year after a drop in investment bank revenue. Moneysupermarket.com (MONY.L) – Interim dividend for period up 7% to 2.31p. Gross profit up 9% to £94.4m from £86.7m. H1 group revenue up 9% to £122.4m from £112.3m. Well positioned for rest of 2014 , board's expectations for full year remain unchanged. Closing Price 182.00p (Reuters)
Taylor Wimpey (TW..L) – 5,766 homes completed across the UK up 11%, average selling price up 10% to £206,000, H1 revenue £1.19bn operating profit margin up 300 bps, cash return increased by £50m to £250m. Closing Price 114.60p (Reuters)
Travis Perkins (TPK.L) – Adjusted profit before tax £162.5m, up 19.4%. Net debt reduced by £51m to £297m. Trading is consistent with company expectations. Group is expected to show continued solid growth for remainder of year. Closing price 1645.00p. (Reuters)
Tullow Oil (TLW.L) – Reported a net loss of $95m for the six months ended June 30 compared with a net profit of $313m a year earlier. reported write-offs to the tune of $402m after drilling dry holes in Mauritania, Ethiopia and Norway over the past six months. Closing Price 764.00p (Reuters)
