Halfords (HFD.L) - Full-year adjusted pretax profit rose 1.1%, helped by a strong performance in cycles in its final quarter. Full-year profit before tax and recurring items of £72.8m ($123m), just ahead of analysts' forecasts of £70.1m, according to a company-provided consensus. Closing price 441.4p. (Reuters)

 Royal Mail (RMG.L) – Posted a 12% rise in FY profit. Facing tough headwinds from increasing competition. Operating profit before transformation costs rose to £671m in line with forecasts. Group revenue rose 2% to £9.46bn, with a 7% rise in parcel sales offsetting a 2% fall in UK letter sales. Closing Price 575.00p (Reuters)

 SABMiller (SAB.L) Reported a 1% rise in FY earnings on Thursday, hurt by FX rates and forecast another year of tough trading.  EBITDA rose 1% in the year ended 31 March.  Expects trading conditions to remain broadly unchanged, with growth driven by developing markets though impacted by currency movements.  Closing Price 3259.50p (Reuters)

 Rio Tinto, Antofagasta, BHP Billiton (RIO.L), (ANTO.L), (BLT.L) - A Chinese manufacturing gauge rose to a five-month high in May, sending Asian stocks higher on speculation the economy is stabilizing after government moves to counter a slowdown. Closing prices 3189.5p, 771p, 1915p. (Bloomberg).

 United Utilities (UU.L) - United Utilities says confident of delivering 2015 targets. Underlying operating profit up £37m to £641m. Closing price 852.5p. (Reuters)

 Arm Holdings (ARM.L) Blinkx (BLNX.L) Imagination Technology (IMG.L) London's tech firms were put on alert after it emerged that Google has set aside $30bn (£17.7 billion) for foreign takeovers. Closing Price 860.50p, 75.75p, 209.30p Respectively (Evening Standard)
