Anglo American (AAL.L) – Copper output rose 18% to 202,000 tns, raised output guidance to 710,000-730,000 tns from 700,000-720,000. Iron Ore output totalled 11.3m tns up 10% from last year. Platinum production fell 39% to 357,000 oz due to a strike in South Africa and lowers its guidance to 2.1m oz from 2.3-2.4m oz. Closing Price 1547.00p (Reuters)

ARM Holdings (ARM.L) – Apple’s second-quarter revenue and profit exceeded analysts’ estimates amid a surge in iPhone sales. Closing Price 956.00p (Bloomberg)

AstraZeneca (AZN.L) - Progress with a new generation of cancer drugs. Posted a 17% fall in core EPS on Thursday. No reference to a reported £60bn bid approach from Pfizer. Reiterated that 2014 sales were likely to fall by a low-to-mid single digit percentage figure. Sales in the first quarter were flat at $6.42bn vs. $6.37bn expected. Closing price 4042.50p. (Reuters)

Travis Perkins (TPK.L) – Q1 total sales growth of 15.6%, 14.2% on a comparable trading days basis. Q1 like-for-like sales growth of 12.7%, 2 year like-for-like sales growth of 9.3%.Closing Price 1832.00p (Bloomberg)

Unilever (ULVR.L) – Revenue fell 6.3% to €11.4bn, though underlying sales, which exclude the impact of foreign exchange and acquisitions and disposals, rose 3.6%. Closing Price 2636.00p (Reuters)
